Best Buddies Donates Blizzard Bags

In conjunction with the Cutchogue New Suffolk Free Library, the Mattituck-Cutchogue Jr.-Sr. High School Best Buddies Club participated in a community service project to assist the homeless community during the winter months. 

The library supplied the students with kits, called Blizzard Bags, with lists of needed hygiene items. The club members met with advisers Caroline Wills and Lisa Bieber to write cheery and uplifting messages on cards and to decorate the exterior of the bags with colorful and creative images. Fifty filled Blizzard Bags were then delivered to the library for distribution to Maureen’s Haven Homeless Shelter.
