Back to School Information
August 17, 2026
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Happy Summer and well-wishes from your Mattituck High School family. We hope you are maximizing your time with family and friends.
As we prepare for the 2026-2027 school opening, we would like to provide you with some important information.
Student schedules are now available on the Parent Portal. This is a tentative schedule. Some changes may still occur as the master schedule
continues to be fine-tuned until the first day of school (Wednesday, September 2).
Seventh grade parents and guardians should mark their calendars for Tuesday, September 1st for our annual Seventh Grade Orientation Night
and Back to School Night for all grades on Thursday, September 10 (additional information with details specific to Back to School Night
will be sent via parent square next week). Please plan to attend these informative meetings.
As your Principal, I am looking forward to the upcoming school year. To ensure a smooth start, please carefully review all the accompanying materials.
Additionally, make sure to check out the school's website for junior and senior high school information, and you will find the district calendar there as well.
Looking forward to a successful school experience. We need you to participate in making this a year to remember.
Please encourage your child to get involved in one of our clubs, athletic teams, arts, and music. Our door is always open,
and we encourage parents, family members and/or guardians to get involved by attending school functions and joining some
of our parent organizations. Consider joining our PTSA and Booster Club. Applications can also be found on our district website.
We are very excited about our opening day of classes on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
With T.U.C.K.E.R Pride,
Patrick K. Burke
Principal

Dear Parent/Guardian:
Student schedules are now available on the Student/Parent Portal. Some changes may still be forthcoming as classes are balanced.
Finalized schedules with locker numbers and combinations as well as bus numbers for grades 7-12 will be available on the portal by August 28th. Students who need a printed schedule will be able to pick one up prior to first period on the first day of class.
7th grade students will receive a copy of their final schedules at 7th Grade Orientation on September 1st at 6:30 PM.
Counselors will be available beginning the week August 24th to assist with any schedule errors. Students or parents can contact counselors either via phone or email.
As a reminder, course selections were finalized in June. Course selections can only be changed if there is an error in your schedule not due to a change of preference. Please attempt to address any scheduling concerns prior to the first day of school. Please note that schedule changes cannot be made due to teacher preference. For students enrolled in AP Courses please see the attached AP Policy/Procedure for AP course withdrawals emailed in May.

Elective requests may have changed since your child/children’s scheduling meeting with their counselor due to changes in the Master Schedule and the addition or elimination of certain electives. Core courses required for graduation are given first priority in the creation of the student schedules.
We hope you enjoy the remainder of the summer, and we look forward to seeing you in September.
